Memories Implode

Someone told me to be quite,

That someone didn’t know

That shrouding me all along

Were messages afloat.

Inside my mind are memories –

Stitched in ragged clothes.

Inside my heart are distant feelings,

I fear they might implode.

These sights I see are empty

Empty memories

Because

I have too many stocked up high

I can’t get through them,

Past them,

Enough to let me see.
