Do You Know What I see when I Look At You? | Art by Kenichi Yokono

Kenichi Yokono

Blue stains on your windowsill

And the brown remains of the time you spilled when you butchered your future clean with your drug and pleasure schemes.

What will mommy say when she sees us this way,

bending, flopping, trying to make amends of the future we owed her,

the future we serrated, separating life from limb to limb

until all mom has left is all we had sinned.
